We bring the right technical audience to your tech event.

Conferences, hackathons, competitions, demo days, summits — we run the marketing that gets the right engineers, researchers, and technical buyers to show up. Not a headcount — the audience that makes the event worth running.

What we do

One job: get the right technical audience to your event — and keep them after it.

1

Foundation

Audit every touchpoint before launch — site, landing, socials, registration — and fix the leaks.

Output: a touchpoint audit + a registration funnel that converts.
2

Creative & Content

Define what to say, to whom and when — then produce the assets for every channel and stage.

Output: messaging platform, creative kit, cross-channel content plan.
3

Promotion

Reach the right technical audience via paid, PR, influencers, partners and communities.

Output: a channel plan + live campaigns + content distribution.
4

Audience Lifecycle

Turn registrations into attendance — and a one-off event into a returning community.

Output: a lifecycle system that lifts show-rate and builds community.
5

Measurement

Track the full funnel: promotion → registration → attendance → qualified leads.

Output: an event funnel + the metrics worth watching.

“The biggest outcome wasn't just a successful event — it was a niche audience that stays engaged after it ends. Every future launch starts with a community that already knows and trusts the brand.”

Frequently asked questions

What is tech event marketing?
Tech event marketing is the process of attracting, converting, and retaining the right audience for conferences, hackathons, competitions, summits, and other technology-focused events. Unlike traditional event marketing, it focuses on reaching highly specialised audiences such as software engineers, AI researchers, developers, founders, and technical decision-makers through the channels they actively use. GROWNIS delivers end-to-end tech event marketing, covering positioning, participant acquisition, lifecycle communications, and performance measurement.
What does GROWNIS do for tech events?
GROWNIS provides full-funnel marketing for AI and technology events. We help organisers define positioning, reach qualified technical audiences, increase registrations, improve attendance rates, and build long-term communities around their events. Our work spans strategy, paid acquisition, PR, community marketing, lifecycle communications, creative production, and analytics.
What types of events do you market?
We market conferences, hackathons, AI competitions, developer events, startup demo days, innovation challenges, and technology summits. Our experience is strongest in AI, developer, enterprise technology, and deep-tech events where audiences are specialised and traditional mass marketing is less effective.
How do you reach a niche technical audience?
We start by identifying where the target audience already spends time. Depending on the event, this may include developer communities, Discord and Telegram groups, LinkedIn, GitHub, Hugging Face, Kaggle, universities, industry partners, and specialised media. We combine community seeding, paid media, PR, influencer collaborations, and partner outreach with an analytics-driven registration funnel that measures the journey from first touch to registration.
How do you increase attendance after people register?
Attendance rate (show rate) measures the percentage of registered participants who actually attend an event. We improve show rates through lifecycle communications, including welcome sequences, reminder campaigns, milestone announcements, countdown communications, and personalised email flows. After the event, we continue engagement with post-event communications that help transform one-time attendees into long-term community members.
What results has GROWNIS delivered?
For the Agentic RAG Challenge, a global legal AI competition held during Dubai AI Week, GROWNIS attracted 356 participating teams against an initial target of 100 within a two-week promotion window. The campaign generated 137 solution submissions, achieved approximately 72% email open rates, and built a reusable audience across Discord and email that continued beyond the event itself.
What makes GROWNIS different from a traditional event marketing agency?
GROWNIS specialises in AI, technology, and developer audiences rather than mass-market events. We combine growth marketing, technical community expertise, lifecycle marketing, analytics, and product thinking to optimise the entire participant journey — from first awareness to registration, attendance, and long-term community engagement. Our approach is designed for events where audience quality matters more than audience size.
More questionsFewer questions
How is marketing for AI and tech events different from traditional event marketing?
AI and tech events require reaching niche technical audiences that are often invisible to traditional advertising. Successful campaigns combine community marketing, technical content, partnerships, developer platforms, PR, and lifecycle communications rather than relying primarily on broad social media campaigns. The goal is not simply to maximise registrations but to attract participants who are genuinely qualified and engaged.
How do you measure the success of a tech event marketing campaign?
Success is measured using business outcomes rather than registrations alone. Typical KPIs include qualified registrations, attendance rate, submission rate for competitions, cost per registration, cost per attendee, email engagement, community growth, and post-event retention. The right metrics depend on the goals of each event.
How long does it take to market a tech event?
Campaign timelines depend on the size and objectives of the event. Large conferences typically benefit from three to six months of promotion, while hackathons, AI competitions, and focused developer events can often be successfully promoted within two to six weeks when targeting, messaging, and lifecycle communications are prioritised.
Can you launch and promote an event in just a few weeks?
Yes. While longer preparation generally delivers stronger results, well-planned campaigns can succeed within tight timelines. For the Agentic RAG Challenge, GROWNIS delivered a complete promotion campaign in just two weeks by focusing first on the highest-impact acquisition channels, rapid creative production, community partnerships, and a measurement framework that allowed daily optimisation.
